At Loch Sealg Designs, I handcrafted every piece of jewellery, ensuring that every item is unique and made with love, care and attention to detail. I take great pride in using recycled metals, primarily 925 Sterling Silver, which I use to create beautiful pieces inspired directly from the rugged, wild beauty of the Outer Hebrides.
The process is a labour of love which begins with a plain sheet, wire, or tube of copper, brass, silver or gold, which I transform using traditional techniques with my tools and hands right here in my wee island workshop in Lemreway on the Isle of Lewis.
In Scottish Gaelic Sealg (Sh-el-ag), means Hunt. Loch Sealg is a sea loch on the east coast of Lewis and has views over to the Isle of Harris, Shiant Isles, mainland Scotland and the Isle of Skye, it's truly beautiful and captivating all year round.
